At RiverRidge® Home , generosity, resilience, and community are cornerstones of our business and at the heart of everything we do. Our commitment to community service has taken center stage this year, with a focus on meaningful initiatives that make a tangible difference in the lives of our fellow community members. We are thrilled to share the impactful ways we have embraced corporate giving in 2023 by giving back to the community that has embraced us for 20 plus years.

Building Homes, Building Hope with Habitat for Humanity

This year, we sought to challenge ourselves in our pursuit of community service. When the opportunity arose to volunteer for Habitat for Humanity in building a home for a mother and her four kids, we eagerly seized it! Partnering with this remarkable nonprofit operating in Pierce and St. Croix Counties, our team dedicated 75 volunteer hours to initiatives such as landscaping, soffit work, installing doors, and painting walls. We did not just invest our time and labor, but also joy and hope towards building a better future for a deserving family in need.

Investing in Education with The Sharing Tree School Supplies Drive

Recognizing the pivotal role of education, we partnered with The Sharing Tree in their annual School Supplies Drive to equip Hudson and Somerset, WI students with the school supplies they need to be successful in their classrooms. Everything from backpacks, water bottles, writing supplies, paper supplies, calculators, and tons more were donated to empower the next generation. Since 2002, The Sharing Tree has assisted over 4,000 children, and we are proud to contribute to their ongoing success.

A Hands-On Approach to Hunger Relief with St. Croix Valley Food Bank

As we neared Thanksgiving, we felt there was no better way to give back than through feeding our community. In partnership with The St. Croix Valley Food Bank, whose mission is to provide equitable access to food and end hunger for all in western Wisconsin, our team came together to pack 351 dry food boxes for seniors and local community members in need. This hands-on experience not only strengthened our commitment to immediate community needs but also deepened our understanding of the challenge of food insecurity.

Making a Significant Impact with Operation Help

This year we hosted our 23rd Annual Sample Sale for charity. After two days of community shopping at our warehouse, over $18,000 in proceeds and products were donated to local non-profits, Operation Help and Habitat for Humanity, supporting their mission to help residents maintain stable living situations. We believe this initiative highlights the collective strength of small businesses uniting for a greater cause, and we look forward to 2024’s Sample Sale!

Operation Help Holiday Drive: Spreading Joy and Cheer

This Holiday Season, our SSI team committed to make the season brighter for those in need within our community. In the spirit of giving, we joined forces with Operation Help for their annual Christmas for Kids program where our SSI family had the privilege of bringing holiday cheer to three incredible families, totaling 14 amazing children ages 2-18 years old. From cozy snow boots to trendy new clothes, tablets to spark creativity, and toys, games, and sleds to entertain the whole family – our SSI family truly poured their festive spirit into shopping for each carefully chosen item.
