It’s the child-like unleashing of cozy cheer and creativity – when your “inner decorator” is released, and ideas of holiday hosting emerge. This giddy feeling got us at RiverRidge® Home thinking… could our products be as just adaptable as we believe? Could we use our storage and organization products to create a versatile cozy dessert and drink bar for rooms and homes of any size? To find out, we handpicked three RiverRidge® pieces and brainstormed fun ways to deck them out for the holidays!
Our Vision
First, we established a clear vision:
Design a space for hosting that exudes cozy holiday cheer with a fun mix of contemporary and mid-century modern flair that would live on after the holidays.
Our chosen RiverRidge® products were chosen from our bathroom and kid’s collections.

The Brookfield Single Door Cabinet with Side Shelves is great for bathroom and entryway storage where personal style is important to the homeowner. In our holiday hosting space, we will be using this cabinet as the left side of our dessert and cocktail bar, allowing us to show off holiday décor and cocktail drinking glasses

Brookfield Two-Door Floor Cabinet
The Brookfield Two-Door Cabinet provides loads of hidden storage and spacious shelf space. As the primary storage cabinet of our mini bar, we’ll be using it to store unopened wine bottles, packaged treats, and extra drinking glasses. Centered below a holiday-themed cocktail menu, here is where guests will prepare their drinks.

Kids 10” Floating Wall Mount Bookshelves (2 or 3 pack)
Our Kids 10inch Floating Shelves are great for kids rooms, art wall displays, or even kitchen storage. Inspired by customers who use these shelves for seasoning storage, we will be displaying jars of candy canes, cinnamon sticks, and drink stirrers for our mini cocktail bar for easy access and festive décor.

Then, the real fun began…
As we dove into designing our inspiration, it seemed to all come together as if it were… should we say, Holiday Magic?
To keep focus on our tree, garland, and wall art, we chose to add fabrics, flooring, paint, and accents solid in color. Adding a solid-colored geometric board and batten wall and rug ensured our mid-century concept could make a classy appearance without stealing the show. Wood floors, brushed bronze frame, and cool color palette highlighted our contemporary accents and carried a cozy feeling through the room.
After making our room and checking it twice, our vision was near completion. Next steps were to build it through digital 3D rendering, which allows us to realistically depict our products.
The Reveal
RiverRidge® is all about making it easy for anyone (like you!) to assemble and design an organized space - a space that’s not just warm and festive but also totally reflects their unique style and creativity year-round. By creating a new use for our Brookfield Bathroom Collection and Kids Floating Shelves, we have designed a space that’s practical, stylish, and ready to host.
